My roof leaks. Do I need to have it completely replaced?

Not necessarily. A leaking roof does not always mean a full replacement is required.

In many cases, leaks are caused by localized issues such as damaged shingles, failed flashing, or worn sealants… all of which can often be repaired. However, if the roof is older, has widespread damage, or has multiple leak points, a replacement may be the more cost-effective long-term solution.

The key is proper diagnosis. We perform a thorough inspection to identify the root cause of the leak and provide honest recommendations… whether that’s a simple repair or a full replacement.

How long can I expect my Roof system to last?

The lifespan of a roof system depends on several factors, including the type of materials used, installation quality, ventilation, and local weather conditions. In general, asphalt shingle roofs last between 15 to 30 years, while metal, tile, and other premium systems can last significantly longer.

However… longevity isn’t just about the material. Poor installation, storm damage, and inadequate attic ventilation can shorten a roof’s life dramatically. That’s why regular inspections and maintenance are critical.

At Integrity Roofs, we evaluate the entire roofing system, not just the shingles, to give you an accurate expectation of your roof’s remaining life and help you maximize your investment.

Are your services covered by my home insurance?

Roof repairs or replacement may be covered by your homeowner’s insurance if the damage is caused by a sudden or accidental event, such as hail, wind, or a storm.

Normal wear and tear or neglect typically are not covered.

We work directly with homeowners to determine whether their situation qualifies for an insurance claim. Our team can assist with inspections, documentation, and meeting with your adjuster to help ensure the process is handled correctly and efficiently.

When is the best time to do roof repairs?

Roof repairs can be performed year-round, but the best time depends on the severity of the issue and weather conditions.

If your roof is actively leaking or has storm damage, repairs should be addressed immediately to prevent further structural damage or interior issues.

For non-urgent repairs, mild weather conditions in spring and fall are often ideal. That said… delaying necessary repairs can lead to more extensive and costly problems over time.

We recommend scheduling an inspection at the first sign of damage so issues can be addressed early, regardless of the season.
